Commissioning Concepts is the leading commissioning firm in Arizona. Our LEED commissioning projects include LEED Platinum facilities, the highest achievement awarded.

Commissioning Concepts follows ASHRAE Guideline “0” and Guideline “1” and utilizes the NEBB Building Systems Technical Commissioning process for both new building and existing building commissioning, which is a results-oriented process and utilizes technical commissioning procedures to insure value for the commissioning process. We do not believe in "sampling" on Cx projects. We thoroughly test each piece of equipment.

Commissioning Concepts believes that for a commissioning project to be of value, the commissioning must be a highly technical process with the commissioner engaged in the inspection, testing and verification of all systems and system interaction for the commissioned systems. Commissioning Concepts believes in Third Party verification done by the commissioner and not first party verification done by the installing contractor.

As a NEBB certified Commissioning firm, and also NEBB certified in Test & Balance, we have rigorous training and experience behind us as we commissioning projects. Our commissioning manager has commissioned projects ranging from convention centers, data centers, university facilities, middle schools, hospitals, governmental facilities, nuclear power plant facility, border stations, restaurants, retail stores, tenant improvement space and manufacturing facilities.

We have the expertise and experience to provide commissioning services for any size facility and any type technical system required. Our strength in control systems, systems design and “how to make systems work” allow us to provide true technical commissioning to our clients. Commissioning Concepts

James Bochat, President of Commissioning Concepts, has been involved in the Arizona Contracting industry for over thirty years. He has owned both large and small mechanical construction companies throughout Arizona and New Mexico.

He is a former President of NEBB and former Chairman of the NEBB Commissioning Committee. He is the main instructor for NEBB’s Commissioning Program and has taught the program throughout the United States and in Australia. He has spoken at venues such at the 2010 Greenbuild 2010, ASHRAE and AHR Expo 2010, 2005 PECI Annual Meeting in NYC, NEBB Annual Meetings, Southwest Plant Engineering Shows, IRC and IFMA. He is LEED-AP certified. Commissioning Concepts is a NEBB Certified T&B and Commissioning firm.
